Milwaukee is facing a distinctly autumnal start to the week, with cloudy skies, drizzle and strong winds expected before brighter conditions develop later in the week.
FOX6 chief meteorologist Tom Wachs said temperatures would fall into the mid-50s overnight, with north-easterly winds of up to 25mph. Monday, September 21, is expected to remain grey, damp and blustery, with a high of about 60F.

Tuesday, September 22, will begin cool and windy, with a low of around 52F. Some late-day sunshine is possible, although temperatures will vary sharply between inland areas, where the high could reach 63F, and locations close to Lake Michigan, where it is expected to remain near 59F.
Tuesday also marks the autumnal equinox, which will occur at about 7.05pm local time. The change of season will be reflected in the forecast, with a blustery feel and noticeably cooler conditions near the lake.
Partly sunny weather is expected from Wednesday onwards. Inland temperatures should rise to about 66F on Wednesday, 68F on Thursday and 69F on Friday, while areas near the lake remain several degrees cooler.
Saturday is forecast to stay partly sunny, with highs of about 68F inland and 64F near the lake. It is expected to be mostly dry across the period, although there is a slight chance of showers on Saturday.
Winds should ease considerably after Tuesday, falling to between 5mph and 10mph for much of the rest of the week. The National Weather Service’s Milwaukee forecast also points to generally dry conditions and daytime temperatures in the low to upper 60s through the middle of the week.
