A 20-year-old woman has died after her Hyundai Veloster collided with a white Iveco truck in Tapping, in Perth’s north, on Monday morning.
The crash happened at the intersection of Pinjar Road and Yandella Parade at about 6.45am. The woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to Joondalup Health Campus, where she later died.
The 26-year-old male driver of the truck was not injured.
The death comes as Western Australia’s road toll reaches its highest level in almost two decades, with 154 fatalities recorded so far in 2026.
