Streamer BenDaDonnn has been arrested in Texas after footage appeared to show a police officer using a Taser during an attempt to detain him outside a bar.
BenDaDonnn, whose real name is Benius Beard, was booked into Brazos County Jail on Sunday on a charge of evading arrest or detention.
The College Station Police Department said officers had been clearing patrons from the roadway when they encountered a group who allegedly refused to follow their commands.
Police allege that a man acting as Beard’s security guard slapped an officer’s hands away as officers tried to detain the streamer. The department said the officer then deployed the Taser, described as a less-lethal tool, when Beard allegedly attempted to get away.
As the officer tried to take Beard into custody, the man identified by police as his security guard allegedly pushed the officer. Both men were arrested.
The alleged security guard, Kenny Carter, was charged with interference with public duties.
