Early voting for Chicago’s 2026 general election begins on Thursday, October 1, giving residents the chance to cast their ballots more than a month before polling day.
Voting will initially be available at the downtown Voting Supersite at 137 South State Street and at the Chicago Board of Elections office at 69 West Washington Street.
The wider early voting operation will expand to sites in all 50 wards from Monday, October 19. Chicago voters may use any early voting centre in the city, regardless of where they live.
The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 3. Voters can check registration details, polling locations and other election information through the Chicago Board of Elections.
Early voting is among the options available to residents who cannot, or do not wish to, vote in person on election day.
