A 57-year-old man from Dearborn Heights has died after being pinned beneath a construction truck in Birmingham, Michigan.
Birmingham Police Department officers were called to the 800 block of Redding on Friday, October 2, following reports that a man was trapped under the vehicle. He was found dead at the scene, police said.
Investigators said the truck had developed a mechanical problem involving one of its lift axles. The driver pulled over on the side of Redding to inspect the fault, but was trapped when the system unexpectedly reactivated.
Police have not released the man’s name. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
