Dennis Haskins, the actor best known for playing Principal Richard Belding in Saved by the Bell, has died aged 75.
The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Haskins became a familiar face to television viewers in the late 1980s and 1990s through the hit teen sitcom, in which Principal Belding repeatedly tried to keep Zack Morris and his fellow Bayside High pupils under control.
The character was known for his trademark line: “Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?”
Haskins later returned to the role in Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
His agent and friend of more than 20 years, Jay Schachter, said: “It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr. Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis, loved him even more. He was a great person, and he loved, I mean absolutely LOVED his fans.”
Mr Schachter added: “He always had time for them, no matter what. He was my client and dear friend for over 20 years, and I will miss him terribly.”
