A Bay Area heat advisory is in effect as an October hot spell continues across northern California, with temperatures expected to range from the mid-70s near the coast to as high as 102F inland on Monday, October 5.
The National Weather Service has issued the advisory for much of the region through 10pm on Wednesday, October 7. The warning covers areas including San Jose, the Santa Clara Valley and communities around San Francisco International Airport.
Conditions are expected to vary sharply across the Bay Area. San Francisco is forecast to remain in the mid-80s on Monday, while temperatures around San Jose could approach 98F and the hottest inland locations may reach 102F.
The National Weather Service forecasts sunny and hot conditions to persist through Wednesday, with temperatures in the Santa Clara Valley remaining in the mid-to-high 90s before easing later in the week.
