Inde Navarrette has begun preparations to host Saturday Night Live after joining the cast and crew for a celebratory dinner in New York.
The 25-year-old actress was photographed arriving at Italian restaurant Lattanzi Cucina Italiana in midtown Manhattan on Tuesday evening, ahead of the Halloween episode on October 31.
Navarrette, best known for playing Nikki in the film Obsession, will be joined on the programme by singer Gracie Abrams, who is appearing as the musical guest.
Speaking recently about the opportunity, Navarrette said: “I literally I feel like I snuck in. I’m super excited to keep everything under wraps because I really truly want to make this super fun for the audience. And what I love is when I don’t know anything. So I’m really excited to be working with the writers.”
The dinner at Lattanzi has become a starting point for the SNL team during the week of a new host’s appearance.
Navarrette’s growing profile has also prompted early Oscars attention, with her performance in Obsession placing her among the frontrunners for Best Actress, according to the source material. Last week, she attended an event at the restaurant where an iconic scene from the film was shot and visited her character at Halloween Horror Nights.
