Jalen Brunson’s wife, Dr Ali Marks Brunson, has been by the New York Knicks star’s side since their high-school romance began more than a decade ago.
The 30-year-old basketball player is hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live and recently celebrated victory in the NBA Championship in June, where he was named finals MVP.

Brunson and Ali attended Adlai Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, and became a couple while they were teenagers. A throwback post shared by Brunson appears to mark October 27, 2013, as the date they officially began their relationship.
The pair later followed different educational paths. Brunson played basketball at Villanova, while Ali studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before earning a doctorate in physical therapy from Northwestern University in 2021.
Brunson proposed to Ali in their former high-school gym. They married on July 29, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago.
Describing the celebrations, Ali told People: “We wanted it to be a big big party: celebratory and joyful, with lights, lasers, a fun DJ, good food, good drinks.”
Brunson said: “She’s always been by my side and I’m lucky to have her. I’m excited to celebrate this special milestone with all of our closest friends and family, who have been so supportive over the many years of our relationship.”
