Justin Baldoni attended Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday night, joining Julianne Hough in the audience for the programme’s Super Bowl Night.
The actor’s appearance came as the football-themed episode featured performances inspired by halftime shows and NFL broadcaster Joe Buck as a guest judge.
Baldoni and Hough have been friends for more than a decade, having worked together on the 2016 documentary series My Last Days, which Baldoni directed.
His visit to the ballroom came amid the continuing legal dispute involving his former co-star Blake Lively. Lively has accused Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, of sexual harassment and of organising a smear campaign against her.
Baldoni has denied the allegations. He later brought his own legal action against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and others, accusing them of defamation and extortion.
A judge dismissed Baldoni’s 400 million dollar defamation lawsuit against Lively and The New York Times in June.
For one evening, Baldoni was away from the courtroom headlines and among the Dancing with the Stars audience, with his connection to Hough linking him to the programme.
