Lucien Laviscount and Taylour Paige will lead the cast of Tyler Perry’s upcoming Netflix thriller, Tyler Perry’s Confabulation.
The film will also feature Shamier Anderson in a key role, alongside Nadine Ellis, Peter Parros, Najah Bradley, Mikeal Dwayne Griggs, Jenna Nolen, Michelle Nunez, Colin McCalla and Shelley Robertson.
Tyler Perry’s Confabulation follows a firefighter haunted by his past and struggling with reality. He risks everything to rescue his high-school sweetheart from her powerful husband, but the truth begins to unravel in a twist that questions what is real and what is confabulation.
Perry is writing, directing and producing the project. It follows his recently released 10th film for the streaming service, Why Did I Get Married Again.
Laviscount, who stars in Emily In Paris, welcomed the casting news on Instagram, writing: “Strap in! This is like no other project. So excited to be sharing the dance floor with the extraordinary @taylour and my brother @shamieranderson Written and directed by the man himself Mr @tylerperry @netflix.”
The actor recently finished filming the sixth and final season of Emily In Paris, which is due to debut on Netflix in December.
Laviscount has played Alfie in the series since joining for what was initially a two-episode stint. Reflecting on the role, he said it had become “5 incredible seasons with this special group of talented people” and thanked viewers for watching.
