LeBron James has completed a helicopter commute from Philadelphia to New York after taking part in his first scrimmage with the 76ers.
The journey, which took roughly 45 minutes, came after the forward split his time between the two cities following his move to Philadelphia.
James’s first scrimmage for the 76ers was held in front of 10,000 fans at a sold-out Xfinity Mobile Arena on Saturday. He described the event as a positive start for his new team.
“To be able to take what we’ve done on the practice floor, bring it to a game floor situation around our fans … it was a great first step in the direction we’re trying to go,” James said.
He joined the 76ers in July after initially believing he had played his final game. James said he had needed time to decide whether he still loved basketball.
“I still truly love this game, and I have more to give,” he said.
