Parvez Rahman, 33, has been remanded in custody after a cyclist in his 50s was left fighting for his life following a collision in Stepney Green, with footage circulating online appearing to show a car striking him at high speed.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a cyclist was left with life-threatening injuries in a collision in east London. The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital following the incident on Aylward Street in Stepney Green at around 23:15 BST on Thursday, and remains in a life-threatening condition. Parvez Rahman, of Tower Hamlets, has also been charged with failing to stop after a road incident. He appeared before Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, where he was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing at the Old Bailey on 4 September.
Separately, footage circulating on social media appears to show a car hitting a cyclist at high speed.
