Miley Cyrus marked the release of her new album Bass Persuades with a party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, attended by Chappell Roan, Paris Hilton and other celebrity guests.
The Grammy-winning singer, 33, appeared in an all-black outfit at the event on Thursday night, 17 September. She was joined by her fiancé, Maxx Morando, who features in the music video for her new song Let’s Get Married.
The choice of venue had a particular connection to the album. The video for Let’s Get Married was filmed at the Chateau Marmont, where Cyrus chose to host the launch celebration.
Among those attending were singer Chappell Roan, Paris Hilton, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, who arrived with her daughter Alexia Umansky.

Bass Persuades is a 10-track album, and Cyrus is due to perform two sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl next month.
The level of demand for the concerts has led the singer to tease the possibility of a residency. Speaking to Apple Music, she said she “would have to do a residency of 80 shows at the Bowl to satisfy the level of demand”.
“That’s kind of what my idea was,” Cyrus added. “This is the ultimate dress rehearsal. I’ve learned now through the queue that my calculations are correct and people will come to me. I don’t need to drive to you.”
