The 2026 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will take place on Saturday, October 10, at Henry Maier Festival Park on Milwaukee’s lakefront, with FOX6 supporting the American Cancer Society event.
Participants will gather at the venue’s South Gate for a morning dedicated to raising awareness and funds for people affected by breast cancer. Activities are scheduled to begin at 8am.
The walk brings together survivors, families, friends, colleagues and supporters, with organisers encouraging people to register individually or as part of a team.
Money raised through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer helps fund research, patient information and support services provided by the American Cancer Society. The organisation also supports access to mammograms and other resources for people who need them.
Henry Maier Festival Park is located at 200 North Harbor Drive in Milwaukee. The venue’s 2026 event information lists the breast cancer walk among its October community events.
Organisers say every donation and every mile walked will contribute to the wider effort to improve outcomes for those diagnosed with breast cancer and help bring an end to the disease.
