A man was flown to hospital in critical condition after being trapped inside a vehicle that overturned in a single-vehicle crash in east Harris County, Texas, early on Sunday morning.
Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to the junction of US-90 and FM-2100, also known as Old Beaumont Highway, where the vehicle had rolled over with the driver as its only occupant.
Emergency crews freed the man before LifeFlight transported him to hospital. His identity has not been released.
The eastbound lanes of FM-2100 were closed while the rescue operation was carried out. The Texas Department of Transportation was also notified so it could assess possible damage to a nearby guardrail.
The circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation.
