Sarah Paulson has remembered Diane Keaton on the first anniversary of the actress’s death, sharing a photograph of the pair laughing with Keaton’s daughter, Dexter White.
Paulson posted the throwback image on Instagram on Sunday. The three women are pictured dressed in winter clothing, with Keaton raising one hand as Paulson laughs beside her.
Alongside the photograph, the American Horror Story actress wrote: “One year. Impossible. Laughing with you will always be what I remember most. I love you.”
Paulson and Keaton became close after working together on the 1999 film The Other Sister, developing a friendship that lasted for more than two decades.
In the days after Keaton’s death, Paulson spoke emotionally about her friend’s legacy. She said Keaton was a dear friend and even more spectacular as a person than audiences knew her to be as an actress.
Keaton died on 11 October 2025 at the age of 79. Her family later confirmed that pneumonia was the cause of death.
A year on, Paulson’s tribute centred on the laughter and happy memories they shared.
