Three Arizona destinations were featured in FOX 10 Phoenix’s “Seen on TV” segment on Thursday, September 24, including a Paradise Valley restaurant, an alpaca ranch in Wittmann and a community marketplace in north Phoenix.
Elements at Sanctuary, located on East McDonald Drive in Paradise Valley, was included as part of Arizona Restaurant Week, which runs from September 18 to 27. Elements is also offering a three-course summer prix fixe menu through October 1. The resort says the menu is available from Sunday to Thursday, with diners choosing from dishes including yellowtail crudo, pan-seared salmon and pavlova. The broadcast also directed viewers to Desert Mirage Alpaca Ranch in Wittmann, where visitors can meet alpacas and learn more about their care and fibre. The ranch, operated by Sandi and Chuck Baxter, says it has been raising alpacas for more than 18 years and sells handmade items made from alpaca fibre. The third featured location was Flerish Marketplace on East Thunderbird Road in Phoenix. The shop resells donated goods, artwork, home décor and boutique items, with proceeds supporting the Civitan Foundation and its programmes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Civitan Foundation said Flerish also provides employment training and helps people build workplace skills through its retail operation. The marketplace is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and accepts donations during opening hours.
