Two pedestrians have been taken to hospital after a car left the road and struck them on a footpath at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast.
Queensland Police said a white Hyundai Kona was travelling south along the Gold Coast Highway at about 2.10pm on Thursday when it mounted the footpath near Tallebudgera Drive.
A woman in her 30s was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition, while a man in his 30s was transported to the same hospital in a stable condition.
The 76-year-old male driver was also taken to hospital as a precaution. His female passenger, who is in her 60s, was not physically injured.
Police said investigations into the crash are continuing.
