Two women were taken to hospital after they were stabbed during a physical dispute at Rodney Cook Sr. Park in Atlanta on Saturday evening.
Atlanta police were called to 609 Thurmond Street NW at about 7.24pm following reports that someone had been stabbed.
Officers found two adult women with lacerations sustained during an altercation involving another woman. Both victims were alert, conscious and breathing when emergency crews transported them for treatment.
A knife was recovered at the scene, while detectives from the Atlanta Police Department’s aggravated assault unit began investigating what led to the incident.
The identities and current conditions of the two women have not been released. Police have also not said whether the third woman involved has been identified, found or detained.
The investigation remains ongoing.
