The Wisconsin Prime Rib Trail has returned for 2026 with 16 new restaurants and supper clubs across the state, alongside a new public-voted award recognising the destination that received the most nominations.
Schwarz’s Supper Club in St Anna has been named the trail’s first People’s Choice winner after attracting more fan nominations than any other venue. The restaurant also featured on the inaugural 2025 trail.

This year’s selected venues include Nightingale Supper Club in Sturgeon Bay, The Red Ox Seafood and Steakhouse in Appleton, Roepke’s Village Inn in Charlesburg, Carson’s Prime Steaks & Famous Barbecue in Milwaukee, and Bryant’s Dousman House in Dousman.
The list continues with Rollin Stone – R. Stone in Juneau, Maple Tree Supper Club in McFarland, Dawn Manor in Baraboo, Rockin 9 Golf Course/Restaurant in Union Center, Badger Crossing Pub & Eatery in Cashton and Castle Hill Supper Club in Merrillan.
Further destinations are Albertville Tavern in Colfax, High View Inn in Medford, Dreamland Supper Club in South Range, Heart of the North in Mercer and Nimrod Inn Bar & Supper Club in Athlestane.
The trail is organised by the Wisconsin Beef Council in partnership with Gather Wisconsin. It was created to showcase prime rib dinners and the traditional supper-club experience, with this year’s venues selected following nominations from diners across the state.
Nominations for the 2026 trail opened on August 14, with organisers inviting residents to put forward established favourites as well as lesser-known restaurants. The updated route follows the launch of the first trail in 2025.
Kaitlyn Kesler, the Wisconsin Beef Council’s director of communications and outreach, said prime rib was “more than a delicious meal” because it gave families and friends a reason to gather.
She said the public response had helped identify more restaurants worth travelling to, while the new People’s Choice category provided a way to recognise the venue that received the strongest support from beef lovers across Wisconsin.
