An employee was shot during an argument with a customer at a storage facility in Palm Bay, Florida, on Saturday, 10 October, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident happened at Stor-All Management on Babcock Street NE after a dispute over a storage unit escalated, according to deputies.
The employee suffered an apparent small-calibre handgun wound. Authorities said the injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
No arrest had been made by Saturday afternoon. The sheriff’s office said there was no continuing threat to the wider community.
The identities of the employee and the suspected shooter have not been released. Investigators have also not disclosed what triggered the dispute or whether further charges will follow.
The inquiry remains ongoing, and it was unclear when an arrest might be made.
