Chelsea are interested in signing Brighton midfielder Yasin Ayari, with uncertainty over his contract situation attracting attention from a number of clubs.
The 23-year-old Sweden international has been in strong form for the Seagulls, but negotiations over a new deal have reportedly slowed. Ayari is understood to be out of contract at the end of the season, although Brighton have the option to extend his agreement by a further 12 months.
That situation could leave Chelsea with an opportunity to secure the midfielder for below his market value if he becomes available. However, no decision on Ayari’s future appears to have been made.

Galatasaray are also monitoring the player as they consider options in midfield, while clubs from the Saudi Pro League have been linked with a possible move.
Chelsea have regularly recruited from Brighton in recent years, bringing in Joao Pedro, Moises Caicedo, Robert Sanchez and Marc Cucurella. Ayari’s emergence has now placed him on their radar as they assess a potential addition to their midfield.
Galatasaray are reportedly considering Ayari as an alternative to Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes. For now, though, the stalled contract talks at Brighton remain the key factor in determining whether a transfer can develop.
