Funkmaster Flex was involved in a physical confrontation with another man during the Knicks’ game against the Sixers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.
Video posted by Flex on Instagram shows him, dressed in black, moving across a crowded area of the arena before confronting the man. The pair then appear to grapple as people move away from the disturbance.
Security staff and an NYPD officer eventually pushed Flex out of the room and into a hallway, where they attempted to calm the situation.
In a caption accompanying the footage, Flex said he had “missed the part where I got punched in the face”, addressing speculation that he had been assaulted.
Flex also alleged that the other man worked for a record company and had tried to provoke him so he could sue. He further claimed the man called him “A BROKE N****” and threw a drink at him.
NYPD officials said they had no information about the incident. Madison Square Garden had not responded to requests for comment.
