A Minnesota man has been charged after investigators allegedly found nearly 200lb of cannabis flower, thousands of THC products and a large quantity of gold at his home in Forest Lake.
Gregory Colbert faces two first-degree possession charges following a raid carried out in December 2025 by the West Metro Drug Task Force. The charges were filed by summons on 22 September 2026.
Forest Lake cannabis investigation
According to the criminal complaint, the investigation began after an informant told police that Colbert was allegedly selling cannabis through a website and travelling to Michigan to obtain supplies.
Investigators said customers met Colbert at a Speedway petrol station, where officers later observed alleged cannabis sales. The complaint also claims that product listings were maintained through a Google document and that Colbert used a Facebook account in the name of “Greg Steiner”.
Police allege Colbert’s telephone number appeared on the website and on the packaging used for the cannabis products. The website remained online when it was checked by local media, although no products were listed and the linked document contained only the words: “God is good.”
The complaint states that Colbert is now licensed to sell cannabis in Minnesota.
What police found in the home
When officers executed a search warrant at the property in December, they allegedly discovered almost 200lb of cannabis flower, 8,671 THC vape cartridges, 6,733 pre-rolled joints and 344 packets of THC edibles.
Investigators also reported finding 5,200 grams of THC concentrate or wax. The total estimated value of the seized THC products was put at about $754,000.
Alongside the cannabis, authorities allegedly found gold coins, gold bars, cash and expensive jewellery. Scales and a computer displaying a live product menu were also recovered, according to the charges.
Colbert is accused of possessing more than 50kg of cannabis flower and more than 10kg of cannabis concentrate. The allegations have not been tested in court, and he is presumed innocent unless proved guilty.
