A missing girl has been found and reunited with her family after investigators in north Harris County, Texas, uncovered what authorities described as a possible human trafficking operation. A 35-year-old woman, Brandi Lowe, has been arrested and charged with promotion of prostitution.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said detectives began investigating on Thursday, 24 September, after receiving information about a missing child. During the inquiry, they found evidence which led them to suspect the girl was being trafficked.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for a property believed to be connected to the case. The girl was not there when officers searched the address, but Lowe was reportedly identified at the scene.
Authorities allege that Lowe had posted the child online for trafficking purposes. She was taken into custody after the promotion of prostitution charge was filed, with her bond set at $20,000.
The investigation then led detectives to a second property. A further search warrant was obtained and executed, and the girl was found inside, according to the constable’s office.
Officials have not released the child’s age or provided further details about the circumstances of the alleged trafficking operation. The investigation remains ongoing.
