Jax Taylor has asked a judge to order Brittany Cartwright to pay him about $17,000 (£13,600) a month in spousal support as their divorce proceedings continue. He is also seeking child support, court documents state.
Taylor says he has struggled to secure entertainment work and alleges that Cartwright’s statements and actions have harmed his career. His filing puts his average monthly income at $30,334, against expenses of $28,944.
He estimates that Cartwright’s company generated more than $630,000 in gross income between January and May.
Taylor’s lawyer said his client had not initially intended to seek financial support during the divorce, but now believes the circumstances justify the request. The attorney also said the application was not made as retaliation.
Cartwright’s representative has previously denied that she attempted to interfere with Taylor’s career. The representative said Cartwright sought court protection after speaking about abuse allegations in their relationship.
Temporary restraining orders were granted against both parties. Taylor and Cartwright, who separated in 2024, share a five-year-old son, Cruz.
Last month, Taylor asked the court to declare him legally single while financial and property matters remained unresolved.
Taylor confirmed in August that he was dating Lori Krebs, Cartwright’s former long-time publicist and one-time close friend. The pair were seen together in West Hollywood in late September.
