Lacey Chabert has described her upcoming Hallmark Christmas film, Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True!, as potentially her favourite project yet after spending much of January filming at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
The actress discussed the film during an appearance on Good Morning America in New York on Thursday, ahead of its Thanksgiving-weekend premiere.
Chabert has appeared in 17 Christmas films for Hallmark, alongside dozens of other romantic comedies for the network. She said the new production stood out because it combined the festive appeal of Hallmark with the magic of Disney.
“I love them all. They’re special to me for different reasons, but this might be the ultimate,” she said. “You know, it’s Hallmark Christmas magic and Disney Christmas magic so it was just tremendously fun.”
The film was shot across the theme park, giving Chabert the chance to film scenes in some of its attractions. Recalling one day on set, she said the call sheet stated: “‘The family rides Pirates.’ I was like, ‘This is the best day of my career.’ I framed the call sheet I was so excited.”
What is Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True! about?
Chabert plays Lindsey, who travels to Walt Disney World with her extended family for a Christmas holiday. The festive break takes an awkward turn when she discovers that Philip, played by Travis Van Winkle, is staying in the room next door.
Philip is the man behind a disastrous first date with Lindsey, and the pair repeatedly cross paths during their family trips. As their hostility begins to fade, a Christmas wish made at Cinderella Fountain raises the possibility that their rivalry could become romance.
Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Durfee and Taegen Burns also star in the film.
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True! will air on Saturday November 28 at 8pm, with the film available on Hallmark+ the following day.
