Leeds United and Newcastle United are preparing to step up their interest in Coventry City midfielder Jack Rudoni ahead of the next transfer window.
The 25-year-old has attracted attention after making an encouraging start to life in the Premier League, scoring three goals in his first nine appearances since Coventry’s promotion to the top flight.
Leeds and Newcastle monitor Jack Rudoni
Leeds have reportedly tracked Rudoni for around a year, with their scouting department continuing to assess his performances. The club are keen to add greater attacking quality and more goals from midfield.
Newcastle have also taken a close interest, regularly sending scouts to watch the midfielder. Everton and Fulham are understood to be monitoring his situation as well.
Rudoni has become an influential figure under Frank Lampard, leaving Coventry facing the prospect of a difficult battle to retain one of their key players. Losing him during the campaign would weaken the club’s efforts to maintain their Premier League status.
The midfielder is valued at approximately €20 million by Transfermarkt, although Coventry’s actual asking price has not been established.
No negotiations or formal offers have been confirmed, and it remains unclear whether Leeds or Newcastle will make a move in January or wait until the summer. Continued strong performances from Rudoni could increase competition for his signature.
