Manchester United are tracking VfB Stuttgart goalkeeper Dennis Seimen as they assess their long-term options between the posts, although a move for the highly rated German would require a substantial fee.
The 20-year-old has attracted interest from several leading European clubs, with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid also monitoring his progress. No formal negotiations have begun, and the current interest remains at the scouting stage.
Manchester United interest in Dennis Seimen
Seimen is regarded as one of Germany’s most promising young goalkeepers and has impressed with his reflexes, one-on-one ability and composure in possession.
His command of the penalty area and handling of aerial situations have also contributed to his growing reputation. Those qualities have made him an appealing long-term prospect for Manchester United as they consider the future of their goalkeeping department.
Stuttgart, however, are keen to retain the academy graduate and see him as a potential future first-choice goalkeeper. He is under contract with the Bundesliga club until June 2029, leaving them in a strong position should interest develop into a formal approach.
The German club are reportedly seeking between €25 million and €30 million for Seimen, despite his current market value being estimated at about €10 million.
A January transfer is considered unlikely, with Stuttgart preferring to continue the goalkeeper’s development rather than sanction an early departure.
Manchester United could therefore face competition from Inter and Atletico Madrid if they decide to pursue Seimen, while Stuttgart’s valuation is likely to be a significant factor in any potential deal.
