One teenage girl has died and another remains critically ill after an early-morning shooting in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
Police were called to the 8100 block of 15th Avenue in the Langley Park area at about 1.50am on Tuesday, 3 November, following reports of gunfire.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second teenage girl was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Police have not released the victims’ identities or ages.
Detectives have not identified a suspect or established what led to the shooting. Investigators said they did not initially believe it was a random attack.
Police remained at the scene as they worked to establish the circumstances surrounding the double shooting and determine whether the victims knew one another.
