Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, will appear as a special guest on Junior MasterChef Australia in 2027, joining host Poh Ling Yeow on the programme.
Previous reports had suggested that Meghan would host the series. However, she is expected to spend several weeks in Australia with her family, including Prince Harry, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, while taking part as a guest.
Meghan said she had enjoyed working with the MasterChef team when she appeared on the programme in April and readily accepted the invitation to return.
“I had an incredible time with the whole team at MasterChef this past April, so when they approached me to come back and work with this young group of talent, it was an easy yes,” she said in a press release.
“I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see what they cook up!”
Producers said Meghan would work with Poh to support the “next generation of young culinary talent”. Poh said: “I had a lovely time filming with Meghan earlier this year, and being reunited will be a real treat. I can’t wait to meet our pint-sized culinary adventurers – I’m expecting plenty of delicious surprises and a little mischief, too.”
Meghan previously appeared on MasterChef Australia as a guest judge earlier this year.
