A mischievous cat sparked chaos at a pet hospital in Guangdong, China, after escaping from its carrier and leading two veterinarians on a frantic chase around a treatment room.
CCTV footage shows the vets opening the cage before the white feline suddenly darts away. It races around the small room, repeatedly evading attempts to catch it.
The cat then climbs partway up a wall and turns its attention to a velvet honour banner hanging nearby. It repeatedly grabs at the pennant, apparently trying to use it to reach a cabinet above.
However, the banner gives way during the escape attempt, sending the cat tumbling back to the floor several times.
One of the veterinarians tries to use the carrier to corner the animal, but it dodges him again and continues its dash around the room.
After several attempts, the vets finally trap the cat when it jumps into a corner. The escape artist is then restrained, bringing the unexpected drama to an end.
