Shivon Zilis has said Elon Musk ended their relationship without warning, days after telling her he loved her, and has shared alleged private messages in which he referred to her as his “significant other”.
Posting on X, Zilis described feeling blindsided by the apparent split. “It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes,” she wrote.
The messages she posted appear to show Musk telling her he loved her as recently as 24 September. Zilis did not frame her post solely as a bitter account of the relationship ending, instead expressing gratitude for the time they shared.
She said she was thankful to have made Musk feel “deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness”.
Zilis and Musk have four children together. Reflecting on their family, she wrote: “I’ve loved him more than life itself and he’s taught me 100 lifetimes of knowledge and made my cup overflow with life meaning, so there is a lot of loss, but luckily we created four beautiful little loves of my life.”
She added that she hoped they could maintain some form of relationship, at least for the sake of their children.
“I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. God speed, Elon, the world is lucky to have you,” Zilis concluded.
