Milwaukee Brewers fans are marking the team’s postseason run with a range of baseball-themed treats from National Bakery & Deli.
The south-side bakery, at 3200 South 16th Street, has been preparing Brewers cookies, cakes and cupcakes as excitement builds around the club’s playoff campaign.
Among the most distinctive offerings are lemon-filled “pocket paczkis”, a playful nod to the pocket pancakes Brewers manager Pat Murphy produced during an in-game interview earlier in the season.
The traditional Polish doughnuts have become a popular choice with supporters, while the bakery’s decorated cakes and cookies offer another way for customers to show their colours.
National Bakery & Deli, founded in Milwaukee in 1925, is one of the city’s longstanding bakeries. Its Brewers-themed range has brought together the business’s Polish baking tradition and the city’s enthusiasm for its baseball team.
