One man has died and his brother is in critical condition after a dispute between the pair escalated into a shooting in south-west Houston.
Houston Police Department officers were called to a home in the 16,600 block of Parkridge Court shortly after 1.27am on Saturday, 3 October.
Police said the brothers became involved in an argument before exchanging gunfire. One of the men, aged 40, suffered gunshot wounds to his head, arm and leg and was taken to hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
The other brother ran about 100 yards from the property before apparently shooting himself in the head, according to investigators. He was found at a second location and pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the men’s identities. The deceased man was described as appearing to be in his late thirties or early forties.
Police have not said what led to the argument. The investigation remains ongoing.
