Leonid Radvinsky, the Ukrainian-American businessman who owned and controlled the subscription-based content platform OnlyFans, has died at the age of 43 following a prolonged illness.
An OnlyFans spokesperson confirmed on behalf of the company that Radvinsky had passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, and said his family had asked for privacy during what it described as a difficult time.
Radvinsky’s connection to the platform began in 2018, when he acquired Fenix International Limited, the company that owns and operates OnlyFans. The platform itself had been founded two years earlier, in 2016, by British businessman Tim Stokely. Under Radvinsky’s ownership, OnlyFans grew into one of the most commercially significant platforms of its kind, with its expansion accelerating sharply during the COVID-19 pandemic. As lockdown restrictions confined people to their homes across the world, the platform drew a surge of both creators and subscribers, transforming from a niche service into a globally recognised source of income and entertainment. Radvinsky held a majority shareholding in Fenix International and served as a director of the company.
Beyond his role at OnlyFans, Radvinsky was active as an angel investor across a range of businesses and had also been involved in philanthropic projects internationally.
The future ownership and leadership of Fenix International Limited is expected to become a subject of attention in the coming weeks, though no announcements regarding the company’s direction have been made at this stage.
