Zach Bryan’s drummer wore a Palestine jersey bearing the name of Hind Rajab during the singer’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, joining a pro-Palestinian statement made by Bryan and other members of the band.
Musician Nate Head wore a white and tan striped shirt marked “Palestine”, with “Hind Rajab” and the number five on the back. Bryan and members of his band also wore clothing carrying the messages “Free Palestine” and “Hind Rajab” during the first of two performances at the stadium on Friday.
Rajab, a five-year-old Palestinian girl, was reported to have been killed in January 2024 after Israeli military fire struck the car in which she was travelling with her family as they attempted to flee evacuation orders.
Guitarist Noah Le Gros also took part, wearing a green jersey featuring the word “Palestine”. The clothing is understood to have come from Wear the Peace, an organisation that supports programmes and humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
The appearance came at the home stadium of Robert Kraft, who was reported to have played a significant role in Macklemore being removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour after the rapper made pro-Palestinian remarks during two shows in New Jersey.
Bryan’s next performance at the venue, part of his “With Heaven On” tour, is scheduled for Saturday evening.
