Police were seen at comedian Carrot Top’s home in Las Vegas after he was hospitalised following an attempted suicide, according to reports.
Three police cars were photographed outside the 61-year-old’s residence on Friday afternoon. The image was taken by a witness.
Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was taken to a Las Vegas hospital after the incident, according to sources. His Friday night performance at the Luxor casino was subsequently cancelled.
The comedian has been a long-standing headliner at the venue.
His representative, Jami Schlicher, said: “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”
