Queensland Parliament is set for a day of committee hearings on the Government’s proposed crackdown on objections to mining leases, alongside scrutiny of additional budget spending.
The hearings are scheduled for Wednesday as the Legislative Assembly prepares to resume from 2pm. The bill concerning mining lease objections will be among the matters under consideration.
Attorney-General Deb Frecklington, Child Safety Minister Amanda Stoker and Corrections Minister Laura Gerber are also due to face the media before proceedings begin.
The hearings and parliamentary sitting form part of the day’s programme in Queensland Parliament.
