Heavy congestion has built up on Perth’s Mitchell Freeway southbound after a crash involving two vehicles near Greenwood.
The centre lane was closed before Warwick Road following the collision, which was reported by Main Roads shortly before 9.50am on Friday.
Traffic was described as extremely heavy, with one commuter telling PerthNow that cars were at a “stand still”. Some motorists remained outside their vehicles.
Drivers have been urged to take care and allow for a safe merge around the closure.
