A crash on Tonkin Highway near Perth Airport has caused significant delays, with debris spread across the southbound carriageway and motorists urged to take care while merging.
The collision occurred before Dunreath Drive, where the left lane was closed by incident response crews. Police officers and an ambulance crew were at the scene as traffic built through the area.
Drivers were advised to allow for a safe merge and exercise caution while passing the crash site.
Further disruption was reported on Tonkin Highway southbound near Morley Drive in Bayswater, where a broken-down car was left on the left median strip. Traffic was heavy on the approach.
A separate breakdown in the Northbridge Tunnel westbound blocked the right lane and caused additional delays, with motorists again asked to merge safely.
On Roe Highway southbound at the Tonkin Highway overpass in Kewdale, a breakdown had closed the centre lane. The vehicle has since been cleared, although traffic remained slow on the approach.
