Zach Bryan performed a second night at Gillette Stadium wearing a “Free Palestine” shirt, repeating the pro-Palestinian message he and his band delivered at the Foxborough venue the previous evening.
The country singer took to the stage on Saturday night in the same shirt. Members of his band also wore Palestine jerseys and other clothing carrying pro-Palestinian messages.
The garments were supplied by Wear the Peace, an organisation that donates to people in Gaza through humanitarian programmes. Bryan’s drummer wore a shirt bearing the name Hind Rajab on the back.
Rajab was a five-year-old Palestinian girl who was killed after the vehicle in which she was travelling came under fire from the Israeli military.
The displays came after reports that Robert Kraft had been influential in Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour following the rapper’s pro-Palestinian remarks.
Bryan’s first appearance at the stadium on Friday saw him and his entire band wearing pro-Palestinian shirts and jerseys, making the message a prominent feature of both concerts.
Sheeran’s two shows at Gillette Stadium were cancelled after a nor’easter battered the east coast. Macklemore has since said tickets for his “Free Palestine Tour” had sold out.
