Zach Bryan wore a “Free Palestine” shirt during his performance at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with members of his band also seen wearing shirts carrying the same message.
The singer appeared at Robert Kraft’s stadium on Friday night as part of his With Heaven On Tour. The show came a week after the venue was linked to controversy involving Ed Sheeran and Macklemore.
Sheeran had been due to perform at Gillette Stadium on the previous Friday and Saturday, but both concerts were cancelled because of severe weather.
Before the cancellations, the shows had become embroiled in a dispute after Kraft was instrumental in removing Macklemore from Sheeran’s tour, following the rapper’s pro-Palestinian remarks at earlier performances.
Macklemore had shouted “Free Palestine” during a set at MetLife Stadium and performed Hind’s Hall while footage from Gaza played behind him.
Gillette Stadium’s official schedule lists Bryan as performing on Friday and Saturday nights. Representatives for Kraft had not responded to a request for comment.
