AEW star PAC, the British wrestler whose real name was Benjamin Satterley, has died aged 40 less than a day after appearing at the company’s All Out event in Chicago.
All Elite Wrestling announced his death on Sunday night, praising the Newcastle native for his high-flying style and ability inside the ring. No cause of death or further details were given.
Satterley wrestled Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship at Saturday’s pay-per-view. Although he lost the contest, the two men shook hands after the match.
PAC later returned during the evening’s main event, becoming involved in the AEW World Championship bout between fellow Death Riders member Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
His professional wrestling career began in 2004. He joined AEW in 2019 and became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion, as well as a two-time AEW World Trios Champion.
Before moving to AEW, Satterley competed in WWE under the name Neville. He won the NXT Championship and became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
