Arsenal have made their Viktor Gyökeres transfer stance clear, with the club reportedly willing to consider a permanent departure for the Sweden striker but not a loan move.
Juventus and AC Milan are understood to be monitoring the 28-year-old, whose reduced playing time this season has prompted speculation over his future at the Emirates.
Arsenal value Gyökeres at more than £60 million, approximately €70 million, a figure that would make a move difficult for either Serie A club. Milan are reported to have explored a temporary deal, but Arsenal’s preference is for a permanent transfer.
Arsenal set £60m-plus valuation for Gyökeres
A January move appears particularly challenging because both Italian sides have other areas of their squads requiring investment. Committing such a large proportion of their budgets to one striker may not be realistic.
Juventus’ interest is currently described as monitoring rather than active negotiations, while AC Milan’s reported interest has yet to develop into a formal offer.
Arsenal’s valuation reflects the significant investment made when Gyökeres joined from Sporting CP in July 2025. He arrived after scoring 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese club and signed a long-term contract with the Gunners.
Gyökeres played an important part in Arsenal’s Premier League title-winning 2025/26 campaign, scoring 20 goals during his first season. His role has since declined in 2026/27, but the club are not believed to be prepared to sanction a cut-price exit.
For Juventus and AC Milan, the possibility of signing the striker may therefore depend on whether Arsenal’s valuation falls before next summer. At more than £60 million, Gyökeres would represent a major financial commitment rather than an inexpensive opportunity.
