Her remains were discovered almost seven years later, on 12 August, after a wildfire had affected shrubland near Padstow Walk. A member of the public found bones in the area, close to Bedfont Lakes Country Park. Extensive forensic examination and DNA testing subsequently established that they belonged to Ms…
Donald Trump has delayed planned US airstrikes against Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen, reversing a decision to prepare an operation after Saudi Arabia pressed him to intervene in the conflict. The president’s position changed repeatedly over several days. He had told advisers that he opposed military action, then instructed the Pentagon to prepare airstrikes after a telephone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to administration officials. By Sunday, however, the White House had pulled back from the operation. Officials said there would be no US strikes against the Houthis for the time being, although commanders had approved…

The comments followed the deaths of women aged 23, 70 and 90 across the state on Saturday. Three men have been charged with murder, with police alleging the victims and accused knew each other in each case. Three women killed in separate NSW incidents…

Seattle took control behind three touchdown catches by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, including an 82-yard score, while the Seahawks’ defence restricted the Cardinals to 151 total yards. Seahawks chants could be heard around the stadium as the result became increasingly one-sided, with some Cardinals supporters leaving before the…
