Donald Trump ordered Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah after overnight strikes on Lebanon threatened to derail US-Iran peace talks. Passengers have been left “seriously injured” after two train collided this afternoon. Graphic footage taken by passengers reveal two East Midlands Trains services smashing into each other. The crash appears to have affected surrounding services, with Thameslink reporting blocked lines between Luton and Bedford “due to a problem under investigation”. A retired United States Marine has been awarded his country’s highest decoration for valour almost 59 years after he led his reconnaissance team out of a Vietnamese ambush while gravely wounded. Major James Capers Jr., now 88, received the Medal of Honor from President Donald Trump at a White House ceremony on Thursday. One person is in custody after shots were fired in Times Square on Thursday, the NYPD said. It happened just before 4 p.m. at West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue. EarthCam video shows two people run out into the street. They appear to pull out weapons and open fire before they take off running. No one was injured. It’s unclear if the shooting was random or targeted. One suspect is in custody, and they recovered one gun, police said. The suspect’s age was not released, but police said he is under 18. A zoo owner’s wife allegedly leapt into a crocodile enclosure to save a three-year-old boy who was thrown in. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder – Cambridgeshire Constabulary do not believe the two ‘are known to each other’. Tracey Johnson who runs the zoo with her husband Andy helped rescue the boy who has been left in a critical condition.
