Christina Aguilera has shared a rare glimpse of her 12-year-old daughter, Summer Rain, in a social media round-up of family moments from the end of summer.
The singer, 45, posted the photographs on Instagram over the weekend, offering fans a look at time spent on boats, private jets and in the company of her family.
In one of the images, Aguilera wears a stars-and-stripes T-shirt as Summer wraps her arms around her mother’s shoulders. The brunette pre-teen is seated on the bonnet of a car, smiling for the camera as she leans against the pop star.
Aguilera captioned the collection “summerween”, alongside a series of sun, boat, aeroplane and Halloween-themed emojis. Other pictures showed seasonal decorations and clothing, suggesting the singer is already looking ahead to autumn despite the approaching US Labor Day holiday.
Matthew Rutler, Summer’s father and Aguilera’s fiancé, also appeared in the post. The couple were pictured sharing a quiet moment together in one of the more personal images from the update.
Rutler, 41, generally keeps a lower profile than his partner, although he has accompanied her to a number of public events this year. The pair attended the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Santa Monica in April, where they shared a kiss on the red carpet.
Aguilera and Rutler became engaged in 2014 after meeting on the set of the singer’s film Burlesque, where he was working as a production assistant. They have since remained engaged for 12 years.
Aguilera previously said she was not in a hurry to arrange a wedding, telling People in 2015: “Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call ‘the sanctuary’, having a baby, and now being so excited to get back to work, I have my hands full, and am not in a rush to set a date.”
She added: “I want to plan it and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed.”
The couple have occasionally offered glimpses of their family life in recent months. In March, Aguilera shared footage from a family visit to Costa Rica, in which Summer appeared alongside her parents at La Paz Waterfall Gardens and Wildlife Refuge.
Aguilera is also mother to 18-year-old Max, whom she shares with her former husband, Jordan Bratman.
