Dave Grohl’s nepo baby daughter Violet Grohl, 20, has been forced to cancel two UK gigs after losing her voice.

Just hours before going on stage on Tuesday, the singer took to Instagram to inform her followers that the shows wouldn’t be going ahead, adding that it ‘pains me to make this decision’.

The eldest child of the Foo Fighters frontman, 57, was due to play at Manchester’s Band On The Wall on Tuesday, followed by Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Wednesday.

Over an image of an old industrial building, Violet penned: ‘Hey everyone, really f****** bummed to have to let yall know I’m canceling tonight and tomorrow’s shows in Manchester and Glasgow.

‘I don’t have a voice right now and it pains me to make this decision, but I just can’t perform.’

She added: ‘We’re rescheduling these shows and everyone who brought a ticket will receive the updated info. Looking forward to seeing you soon. xx I’ll be back!!!’ [sic]

Violet’s gigs were in support of her debut album, Be Sweet To Me, which was released in May. 

Despite having a hugely successful career with millions of albums sold and numerous Grammys under his belt, Dave previously told how he had no involvement in the album at the insistence of his daughter. 

The musician told Radio X: ‘She made this album with a producer named Justin Raisen, and she did it on her own.

‘She met the producer, and they would go to the studio every day and she would send me songs when she was finished. But I had absolutely nothing to do with this record at all.’

He added: ‘I’m the dad who wants to be there and know everything. And she’s just totally doing her own thing. It’s amazing.’

Violet did however name drop the former Nirvana drummer while promoting her debut album in May.

‘I wouldn’t have dived as deep into music without him,’ she told British Vogue in an interview.

‘I dreamed of this s*** when I was like, 12 years old.’

Their seemingly solid marriage – and Dave’s ‘nicest guy in rock image’ – were shattered in September 2024 when the rocker revealed he had secretly fathered a fourth daughter. 

Jennifer Young confirmed to Page Six in 2025 that she is the mother of his child, with the baby born on August 1, 2024 and Dave’s last name listed on the birth certificate, according to records viewed by the outlet.

His daughter lives with her mother in Los Angeles and she often takes their daughter for walks in their neighbourhood.

Dave confirmed the news in a shock statement posted to Instagram, where he wrote: ‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’

Jordyn and Dave were soon pictured without their wedding rings amid reports that the musician had consulted a divorce attorney.

However, insiders told the Daily Mail the pair have worked hard to overhaul their marriage, enduring months of counselling sessions and implementing strict rules to allow her to keep tabs on her philandering spouse in a desperate bid to rebuild trust.
